Odyvero explains the data involved in reading the magazine, external services and your tracking choices. Articles are available without a reader account.

Public measurement is active without an Odyvero form. Previously saved Odyvero choices and Google preferences remain separate and are not changed by this mode.

Public audience measurement active

Google preferences

The Google panel collects and stores your advertising choices. Ad requests remain suspended in this version. Google’s code contacts its servers to display the panel and manage your choices; it is not our audience measurement tool.

Exercise your rights

For a privacy question or a request about your data, write to Odyvero: contact@odyvero.com.

Requests received by email are used to reply to you and handle your rights requests. Email reception uses Cloudflare and Google.

Operation and security

Railway hosts the website. Requests transmit an IP address and technical information needed to deliver and protect pages. Administration uses a separate HttpOnly session lasting no more than eight hours; readers do not need this session.

Audience measurement

When enabled, public PostHog measurement runs in the browser’s memory and sends page visits and clicks on marked affiliate links to its hosting in the European Union. Events may include the article’s editorial identifiers, language, destination and format; clicks may include the offer identifier, partner, placement, card format and available product or campaign codes. Article text, full commercial URLs, URL queries and fragments, private pages, entered text and console logs are excluded. IP addresses are not retained in events. Only public anonymous mode uses no cookies or persistent identifiers; a possible consent-based mode is separate. Session recording is disabled. A click does not prove a booking or revenue. Cookie-free does not mean free of personal data.

In public pseudonymous mode, the odyvero-public-id-v1 cookie contains a random UUID to measure unique browsers: a browser, not a person, with no name or email. It lasts a fixed 30 days from creation, without renewal on reading. It is host-only, with Path=/, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. The SDK stays in memory and uses this identifier; this measurement adds no other browser storage. No person profiles or session recordings are created. This mode does not trigger an Odyvero consent form and is not a guarantee of legal exemption. It enables neither advertising nor experiments. You can delete this cookie in your browser; a later visit may create a new one.

Preferences and identifiers

Local storage odyvero-consent-v1 records a choice valid for 180 days. The odyvero-consent-denied cookie may retain a refusal for 180 days. Only in consent-based mode may odyvero-analytics-id-v1 identify the browser while consent remains valid. Withdrawal stops its use and requests deletion; the browser may prevent writes. Local storage does not expire automatically.

Advertising

Advertising stays disabled until its configuration and consent setup have been qualified. A future AdSense integration must use a Google-certified CMP integrated with the TCF for the relevant regions. Odyvero’s form does not replace that CMP.

Maps, images and external services

Loading an OpenFreeMap map or a Tripadvisor activity photo sends your IP address to that provider. Each provider applies its own policy. These exchanges are separate from audience measurement. API keys remain on the server.

Affiliate links

A link to Viator or another provider may earn Odyvero a commission. After following it, browsing data and that provider’s trackers are governed by its own privacy information and choices. An affiliate link alone does not place a Viator cookie on Odyvero.

Purposes and retention

Site delivery and security serve operational and protection needs; optional uses requiring consent rely on your agreement. Technical logs do not share the cookie-choice lifetime. This page does not assign them an unverified retention period.

Your rights

You can refuse optional uses and change your choices without losing article access. Subject to GDPR conditions, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can complain to the CNIL or the relevant supervisory authority.
